Cells and the internal organs may start to dysfunction if the energy becomes blocked, leading to many different types of diseases and conditions. The benefits received from acupuncture are numerous. The aim is to regulate the body’s natural energy channels and to re-establish the energy balance of Qi and to relieve pain.

Depending on the persons complaint, electrodes can be attached to the ends of needles, (known as electro-acupuncture) in order to increase the stimulation by causing the needle to tremble inside the muscle. This is achieved using a low voltage battery operated machine and feels like a tingling/tapping sensation inside the skin, which is not painful but can feel a bit strange.
